Seriously, you should read this.

You should really check out Seriously So Blessed. It's pretty funny. Don't get offended but it's totally making fun of us Mormon, Mommy Bloggers. I started reading it a few weeks ago but I guess it was on KSL today. So go check it out. Seriously.

I'm such a nerd!

This morning, as I sat down to feed Liam, I turned on "Good Things Utah". To my surprise I saw Gev and Chelsie from "So You Think You Can Dance?" (along with some other dancers) Gev and Chelsie! I was so excited to see them. I loved them both on the show. Anyway, they were there to promote "Dancing Under the Stars" which was at the Scera tonight (and tomorrow night). As soon as the segment was over I thought, "I need to call Anne." The second I stood up my phone started ringing. It was Anne. The first thing she said to me was, "You weren't watching 'Good Things Utah' just now were you?" I was like "YES!" So of course, needless to say, we went to the show tonight and it was awesome. Gev and Chelsie did the two numbers they did on the show along with some other numbers. Matt was also there and did a really awesome solo. On top of all that, the dancers at Center Stage are amazing. There were lots of TV shows that many had been on. One guy was on Broadway and did this hilarious number from "Altar Boys." My favorite, besides the SYTYCDers, were these two nine year old boys that did hip hop. They were awesome. One of them even lost his shoe as they were dancing and he just kept on going like a little pro. I guess they really are little pros since they said they are dancers in "High School Musical 3." Anne and I had a great time and we were even brave enough to venture out among all the little girls to ask for photos. We couldn't find Gev, bummer :( Maybe tomorrow night. :)
Oh and PS, Matt is really tall! I don't know if you can tell that Anne and I are crouching down so we don't tower over Chelsie but we look down right short next to Matt.

My Redneck Weekend.

On Saturday night I ventured into a realm of redneck I had never known. I thought that the most redneck thing that I had done was the rodeo, and it probably was until Saturday night when I attended the Demolition Derby. It was pretty entertaining but at the same time pretty disturbing that all these people have gathered to watch cars crash into each other. I admit I was drawn in. It was pretty impressive that some of the cars were able to keep driving with a tire barely hanging on. At one point, in the powder puff round, a girl ran into another car with such a force that it rolled the other car over and her car was stuck on top of it. They rushed to get her out and turns out she was fine, but when the ambulance blocked our view of what was going on and the guy in front of us was upset I was like, "Really?" There's a girl stuck upside down in her car and you're concerned that you can't see. I had a pretty good time still. We were there to see my brother-in-law Josh drive his car. Here's some video of his first round. His car wouldn't reverse so he doesn't get to do much in it. It does give you the feel for the Derby though, it's cars running into each other.

We each got a giant snow cone that cost way more than a snow cone should.

Josh's awesome car.

The rollover.

I also posted some pictures of my niece on my photography blog. Check it out.

Super Mega Post

My brother and his family were in town this week which meant we had a week full of fun activities. It was great to see them all, I love spending time with them and their kids. It was a really nice escape from reality, and of course I got pictures of all the great stuff we did.

Thanksgiving Point
On Tuesday we went to Thanksgiving Point for two dollar Tuesday. We did the gardens in the morning then came back in the afternoon for the Dinosaur Museum. It was crazy busy, especially the Dinosaur Museum, but it's hard to spend $10 to go in when I've spent countless hours wandering the halls of the exhibit. Don't get me wrong, I love that place, I just think that all past employees should still get in for free. I've just spent way too much time in there to be paying to see it again. :) Aiden really enjoyed it though. He thought it was especially cool when I told him I used to work there.

Aiden especially loved the erosion table. What kid doesn't?

Tubing the Provo River
On Thursday my sister Anne planned for everyone to float the Provo on tubes. She had done it before with the young women in her ward and thought that Ian and Mandy's family would enjoy it. Boy was she wrong! They started just after the dam so the water was pretty swift and about one minute into it Mandy had already flipped her tube completely over. The water was really cold and the tubes were tiny. Even I expected that the tubes would be a little bigger. Ian and Wes were too big to use just one of them so they tied several together to make a raft large enough for them to ride. I was impressed that they even managed to make that work. After being beaten by the "Bridge of Doom" Mandy proclaimed that this was the worst experience of her life and she would never do this again. I started further down the river (after the bridges) and I really enjoyed the ride. (Please note that Aiden did not actually float the river)

Tom and his stick.

Mandy, after the "Bridge of Doom."

Wes, testing out his creation.

Bowl-A-Rama...Again!
On Saturday morning, just before they left to drive home, we all went out bowling. (It's funny how I hadn't been bowling in forever and now suddenly I've been twice in the last two weeks.) We had lots of fun and Aiden thought it was really cool. He bowled a 98 (with bumpers) and I bowled a 103. Aiden must take after his mom when it comes to his bowling skills. :)

We even got Grandpa to bowl.

Look at me go. (Yes I know, I have really skinny legs.)

Aiden in his little bowling shoes was just too cute.

We also went to a few movies and swimming at the pool. I had a lot of fun just getting to hang out with all of them. I also did senior pictures of my niece Chelsey. I'll post those on my Photography Blog soon.

We have the best baby!

I just needed to take a moment and brag about my wonderful baby. Last night he slept for nine and a half hours straight! I guess he knew I really needed some rest. That wasn't just a fluke either. He's been sleeping for eight hours straight pretty regularly. I think he knew I couldn't handle the sleep deprivation right now. Aiden was a really good baby too but he didn't sleep through the night like this until he was much older. I feel so blessed to have been entrusted with these boys, they are such sweet spirits and I feel privileged to be their mom. (Except for when Aiden is having a full on tantrum in the middle of a store, then I pretend like I don't know him and ask "Where's your mother?" :)

Photography Blog

A while ago Travis told me that I should make a photography blog, so I did and then I never put anything on it. Well now I've officially posted there so I invite you to visit my photography blog. I'll try to keep it regularly updated with my work, whether new or old.

Bowl-A-Rama

Yesterday was Hayley's 26th birthday (yes Hayley I know how old you are) so we all went out to celebrate. We ate some yummy Thai food and then headed out for some bowling. I hadn't been bowling in a long time and it was a lot of fun. We got to hang out with some friends we hadn't seen in a while, which is always nice. Of course I had to take lots of pictures since I don't get out that much with a new baby and all. Just for the record, I bowled a 111 and Travis bowled a 46 (sorry hon).

The McAllisters

Hayley and her boys. Not a bad birthday ratio. :)

Hayley and Angela

The girls, including little Ali.

Me and my awesome pink ball. Oh and I also had to bowl under the name "Brag-a-tan" which is a strange nickname that Angela and Valerie gave me in 9th grade and somehow it came up here. Good times. :)

A few more

Two Months
I'm sure you can tell which one is which. :)

One Month

Newborn

Blast from the past

I have been wanting to compare old pictures of Aiden with Liam. I figured that their blessings would be a good comparison. This is the only shot that I got of Aiden on his blessing day, I can't believe I never took one of just him so you could see him in his little outfit. I think that Aiden is about a month younger for his blessing but I think they are about the same size. :)
