Return to Jr High

It's official. I'm a metal mouth. I thought I looked thirteen with the gap. Now I really look like I'm in Jr. High. After I got my braces put on, I got a sparkly, pink shirt that says "Perfect Smile" on it and a cookie. They really know how to make a girl feel special. Here's a before and after.

Aiden the budding photographer

I downloaded my camera today and found a few pictures that I didn't take.

Five years ago today...

My little baby was born. He was 8 pounds 3 ounces and 21 inches long, and he's always had that same head of hair. He was a chunker, he hit 20 pounds by four months old! (Liam is 8 months old and has yet to hit 20 pounds.) He was a very good baby and he's a very rambunctious, smart and entertaining five year old. Happy Birthday Aiden, I love you.

Smells Like Sunday

Since our church changed to 1pm I've been making pancakes for breakfast. It's fun because we're not in a hurry so Aiden can help out. Plus it's a good transition to get him to take a bath. :) This morning I was making them and Aiden was playing in the other room. As he walked into the kitchen he said, "Smells like Sunday."

What's a hermaclam?

Lately Aiden has been saying a lot of funny things. I keep blogging about them so I won't forget them. The other day he was playing Guitar Hero at his aunt's house. (Which he is actually pretty good for a four almost five year old) He played on the song "Rock me like a Hurricane" then afterwards he kept singing it, only he said, "Here I am, walkin' like a hermaclam."

Mall Cop

As we were driving home today Aiden said, "I'm going to be a cop when I grow up."
I said, "You are?"
He said, "Yeah but I don't know if I'll be a mall cop though."
I wasn't sure what that meant, we had been at the mall earlier today so I figured he must have seen a security guard. Then I saw this.

It's Cold!

As I was driving home tonight it was three degrees outside. I just thought you should now that.

2008

It was the best of times it was the worst of times.
So cliché yet so fitting. And that's all I have to say, here's to 2009.
