Jesus wants me for a sunbeam

Aiden gave his first talk in primary. It was the story of Jesus. The four year old version. This is how it went. (Each line had a picture)

Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
He visited the temple when He was 12 years old.
John the Baptist baptized Jesus.
Jesus taught the people.
Jesus healed the sick.
At the Last Supper, Jesus gave the sacrament for the first time.
In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus suffered for our sins.
Jesus was crucified.
He was buried in a tomb.
Three days later Jesus rose from the tomb! Because He did, we will all be resurrected.

He did a very good job. It was very cute. I had to try really hard not to laugh at how he said some of the words. I started to laugh a little (which is terrible) when I told him to say Gethsemane. I was just thinking that there was no way he could say that word, there are some adults that can't even say it. You can tell we didn't practice before hand. He did great and loved getting to speak into the microphone. I thought he might get scared since it is in the chapel (our primary is very large), but he didn't. He was quite pleased with himself. All day he told people that he talked in the microphone. He's growing up so fast.

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Aiden was up bright and early at 7am this morning, but it was fun to see how excited he was. He told his primary teacher that this has been the most awesome day. After church I made the boys take a family picture (more of an ordeal than you would think). It was a little tricky since I had to use the tripod and a timer but we managed to get a decent one. Aiden just looked so grown up in his little suit. We had a big family dinner at Grandma's with the cousins which included an Easter egg hunt. When I told Aiden that we were going to have an Easter egg hunt he got all excited and said, "Do we get guns?" I had to laugh and then I explained that we weren't actually hunting for the eggs, just looking for them. He seemed to think that was just as fun and actually had the most fun hiding them. We've had a pretty fun weekend and Aiden has already asked if we could dye more eggs. I said maybe. He's at such a great age for being excited about everything, we'd better enjoy it while it lasts.

Goodbye Angela

It's true, Angela is leaving us for Arizona on Saturday. We're going to have a little goodbye party at my house on Friday night. Everyone is welcome. If you need directions to my house just let me know. We're planning on about 7pm. Please let me know if you are coming so I know how many to plan for. Thanks.

A very cool thing.

Travis gets "Paste" which is a music magazine. The latest issue came in the mail today and as he was flipping through it he came across this advertisement that he designed. It kind of threw him for a loop. I think it's very cool.

The Bump!

I never took pictures of myself when I was pregnant with Aiden so I'm trying to be better this time around. This is at 27 weeks (almost 28) Woohoo!

Here's a little bump comparison. I'm a week ahead of Angela.

Trains!

We had a fun filled Friday night of painting trains for our boys. Angela and Ross came over to help and it was pretty fun. Thanks Ang for this great idea. They turned out so cute.
