California!

The last weekend in February I got to tag along on a family trip to California. It was fun to visit with family and enjoy the warm weather. I also got to visit with my childhood best friend Elissa, I hadn't seen her in nearly five years. It was great to see her and her family. My dad brought some of his old family slides so we spent two full nights looking through them with the whole family. It was pretty entertaining even though I wasn't in any of them. I think my dad enjoyed it the most though. :) The last day we were there we made sure to go to the beach. I know it's not really the time of year for the traditional "beach outing" but we had to at least go and look at it. Although it was about to rain, it was still pretty nice weather. Aiden had a blast playing with all of his cousins, even though he was revisited by an illness I thought had passed before we left. I felt bad for him, by the end of the trip he was running a fever and still trying so hard to just play and have fun with his cousins. I had a really nice time and it was difficult to come back to reality. Anne and I both agreed that we didn't want that to count as our California/beach trip for the year. We need to come back in the summer so we can swim! :)

Random Picture

Okay, so Bonnie tagged me and I know the tag thing can kind of get annoying sometimes but this one is really easy and peaks your curiosity.

Here's what you do:
1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on the computer
2. Select the 4th picture in the folder
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag 4 people to do the same
5. No cheating (cropping, editing, etc)

And the winner is:

It's kind of funny because this post got me to finally reorganize my picture files. Recent changes with my hard drive caused me to have two different places I kept things with some duplicates. I couldn't decide which one to go with so I had to combine them first. :) I'm so glad I did because this picture is great. Sometimes when I get my camera out to take a picture of something other than Aiden he starts acting up or posing and wants me to take a picture of it. This is one of those moments. I think I was taking "after" pictures of the house to show all of the work that we had done on it. Aiden started posing and wanting to be in the picture. He's a natural. :)

Ok, now I'm going to tag Angela, Anne, Leslie and Annaca. And whoever is curious to see which picture they would get. :)

Eating Socks

I know we all claim that our washer or dryer eats socks because we can't figure out what happened to them but it's really true! Today I was loading my washer and I had it quite full so I was pushing on it to make sure nothing would get shut in the door. (It's a front loader) The barrel has a little give so when I pushed it back I noticed something behind the rubber flap that keeps the water from coming out the door.

There were SIX little baby socks in there! Along with a little toy and some purple silly putty? I think. The silly putty had turned some of the socks purple. I knew that somehow those baby socks were disappearing. I was blaming it on the dryer. :)

Pooped

The other night we arrived home right at bedtime. I told Aiden to go and brush his teeth and get ready for bed. After a little while I thought he was being awfully quiet. I assumed he was getting into something he wasn't supposed to. I went in to check on him and found him asleep on the bathroom floor. The heater had kicked on so he lay down on the floor so he could stick his feet on the vent. (This is one of his favorite things to do.) He was so tired though that he just fell asleep.

Lyndi needs...

So I saw this on Erika's blog and I wanted to try it. Basically you google "(your name) needs" and you find out what google tells you. This is what I got, no joke.

Lyndi needs

-- to be reported to 1-800-BISHOP for swearing on the court when she was called for a double hit.

--to turn 14 or gain 344 more Vampire points to reach the next level.

--to hang out. (true, true)

--a scarf.

--I found two photographers named Lyndi, ironically one was out of SLC but the other one was in Florida and had skipped town leaving couples without wedding photos. Sad.

--I also found someone whose dog named Lyndi died. Also sad.
